The Desert Island Beer Series is a place for our head brewer to highlight his favorite beer styles. Volume 4 is a live culture, Berlinner-Weisse inspired ale featuring Lactobacillus, Brettanomyces, and German ale yeast. What makes this beer unique is that we didn’t simply kettle sour it and move on. Instead, we lovingly curated a mixed biome that is still active in this beer, even now. Gentle aromas of sourdough, lemon, and white grape float through a soft, refreshing finish.
