Benvenuto! This beer is an Italian Pilsner. Popularized by a small brewery near Como Italy, Italian Pilsner breaks the traditional pattern of European Pilsner beer by adding hops late in the process, just after fermentation has completed. Named after the malted barley that this beer primarily uses, which was sourced from the city of Eraclea in the region of Venice, on the shore of the Adriatic sea, in Italy. Fermented with lager yeast and hopped with Saphir hops before finally being dry hopped with more Saphir. We get lots of crisp cracker like notes, hints of honeycomb and a bright punch of herbal citrus through the finish.
