We are proud to introduce “Malty State Of Mind”, an English Style Barleywine, that symbolizes community, craftsmanship, and charity. Born from a unique collaboration for a cause close to our hearts, Malty State Of Mind was brewed by a passionate group who won the “Brewmaster for a Day” auction item in 2022, benefiting the Champaign County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program.

Brewed in mid-October 2023, this beer combines a carefully selected blend of base malts, including Maris Otter from England, with dark invert syrup added during the boil. It was fermented using both ale and lager yeasts, then lagered meticulously until just a couple of weeks ago. This chestnut-colored ale exudes deep aromas of caramel, toffee, and dark fruit, inviting you to explore its layered complexity. The full body smoothly transitions to a balanced finish, elegantly embodying the beer’s 10% alcohol by volume.

Adding to the uniqueness of this offering, the label artwork was graciously donated by Jon Frette, further encapsulating the communal spirit and artistic flair that defines Triptych. This beer not only stands as a testament to the power of collaboration for a good cause but also offers a tasty experience that resonates with the joy of giving back.
