Pippin’s Second Breakfast is a blonde ale brewed with coffee to recognize this year’s winner of the Champaign County Humane Society Mutt Strut. Pippin’s family raised the most money of any entrant this year and not only is Pippin’s picture featured on the label, they also got to help us figure out what kind of brew to make. This year’s brew is a malt forward blonde ale that was infused with Intelligentsia whole bean coffee. Expect notes of malt, honey and vanilla perfectly balanced with hints of dark fruit, cocoa, and molasses from the Intelligentsia coffee. 4.6% alcohol by volume.
